Fungicides
Systemic & direct contact, as well as preventative &/or curative products for a wide range of turf fungal diseases. Not all fungicides & their groups act in the same way.
Tip #1: Correctly identify the disease & choose the most appropriate fungicide & 'Group'. Each fungicide group has a different mode of action to kill the fungal disease/s.
Tip #2: Apply the chosen fungicide/s correctly on the plant, ie Tips, crown or roots.
Tip #3: Use the correct nozzle to apply. Generally a TeeJet AIXR matched to the output of your sprayer is required & stated on the label.
Tip #4: Rotate or alternate your fungicide groups to avoid resistance issues. A general rule of thumb is NOT to use the same fungicide group more than twice in a row.
Tip #5: READ THE LABEL. NOT just the rates box, but further down the label into sub-categories of 'Compatibilities', 'Safety & PPE', 'Application Methods', etc. Every label will help to make your mind up as to which fungicide is going to work best in your situation. ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED IS INCLUDED.
